Make Money Working From Home Online -Is It Easy?

Since the online world has really been booming, more of us find ourselves looking to make money working from home online. Whether it be to stay at home with your little ones or for a second income. When we first start our search, we might think ” how hard can it be “? We discover real quick that it isn’t that simple

Starting Your Search – My Skills/Interests

First you might want to think about what skills you have that can be used online. Do you have a nice voice so that you can do some type of work involving speaking on the phone ? The telephone isn’t just used for selling or sales representatives. There are many business out there who are looking for someone to set appointments up or remind customers of their appointment that may be coming up. Some business may even be looking for tech support and billing agents that are able to work in the comfort of their own home. Anytime you deal with a type of job that requires you to be on a phone also means you have to have a noise free environment. So if you have little ones or a very vocal furry friend, this may not be for you.

But don’t worry. That doesn’t mean you have to stop your search. Maybe you have typing skills or you love taking surveys. Let’s say you are excellent in math, you could be an online tutor. You love cooking or baking, you can even use those skills to make money working from home online. Any skill you have, chances are there is a great chance that there is a business online looking to have someone like you to work with/for them. There is also affiliate marketing, if you don’t really know what you want to do, but yet you want to work from home. Just be careful that you don’t fall into a scammers’ nightmare or a business that has upsells ( a sales technique where a seller induces the customer to purchase more expensive items, upgrades or other add-ons in attempt to make a more profitable sale) ex. if you are looking to build your own website, they may charge you extra for the tools to buld it, to host it, get traffic to it etc…

Maybe you don’t think you have a skill. Maybe you are very knowledgeable about cars, dogs, books, travel, fine cuisine, desserts or parenting. Use that knowledge to buld your own online business, or team up with others online. My point is the internet is like a river, It is always flowing and has a wide variety of opportunities when it comes to working from home and being your own boss.

Getting The Ball Rolling

Once you have decided what type of online business you would like to check out, it is time to start searching. This will take some time. I would also recommend taking notes on the type of searches you have done, what websites you have checked out and the cost, unless it is free. Jotting down the requirements is highly suggested as well.

Your initial search will be your starting point. Let’s say you are a typist. You want to type in your search bar, make money from home online by typing. It will bring up several results. There may be a ton of results or there may be only a few. Click on whichever catches your eye first. Remember to take notes. This will help you the further into your search you get. You can look at all your notes and compare them to decide where you want to start applying for. Below is an example of the type of notes. Depending on your field of search, you will get a general idea of what type of notes you should write.

1. Name of your search – make money from home online typing. Say your search didn’t show but maybe a couple of results or none at all, try rewording your search. Ex. typing jobs online, or online typing jobs from home. Keep trying and eventually you will get a good amount of results There should be a brief description underneath each link. If anywhere in that description you see $50 an hour or make $1000’s daily, do not click that link. It is more than likely a scam.

2. Website/URL you clicked on – typingfromhome, com/net/org ( not an actual website. This is just an example ) The link you clicked on may bring up other links. Be sure to write each one down that you clicked on. It can get very aggravating and you may find yourself wanting to get back to a certain link and you can’t because you don’t remember how you got there.

3. Write down the qualifications – You may need them to refer back to when applying for the job or you might want to cross it off and move on to the next search result if you don’t have what is necessary to qualify.
4. Apply/Request Information – If you think you might be interested and you apply or request information be sure to write down the date you submitted it and also write the information in the response once submitted. Ex. If you searched up make money from home online and you came across a marketing affiliate that really caught your eye and is free, you want to know the name of the person whose site you seen it on as well as the affiliate website name. This will assure that you don’t over look important emails and it will also help in the case that you paid a fee .

Those are just a couple examples. My point is that nine times out of ten, you won’t land a job on the first link you click. Depending on how much time you put into your search and the results you get through your initial search, it can get overwhelming and may even cause you to give up if you don’t have the information noted. Some links will take you another link and yet another. So you will need the information to make sure you get to where you want to be.

Don’t Be In A Rush-It Causes Fustration

Take your time when doing your search. Check out the reviews on whatever site you are interested in. Like I said, you are more than likely going to have to do a few searches and click a few links before finding the type of business you are looking for. Don’t apply on multiple sites or request information from several at a time. When someone responds to you or emails you, you want to know exactly who they are and what they are about to be able to respond appropriately. When you have multiple inquires it can cause confusion and maybe cost you that online job you were really looking forward to, or it can cause you to lose track of what they charged, what you paid for and who it was paid to. If you get into an affiliate who uses upsells, you will definitely want to keep track.

Follow Up – Follow Through

When searching for a job online you want to think of it in the same way you would if you were hitting the streets looking for a job. Respond back when they contact you, wheather it is by email or by phone. Even if you are not interested, you should let them know. Online job searching may cause you to subscribe to a site even if you don’t realize it. When you type your email in ANYWHERE it is almost a guarantee you will be getting an email from that site and you will continue to get them until you unsubscribe from them. Be sure to read the emails carefully as they may provide you with your next step and so on. Checking your junk/spam folder may be something you need to do as well. There are times that a legitimate sites email may end up there. You should also check there if you have applied for an online job but haven’t gotten any type of response. Normally you will receive a response saying thank you for your interest or for your application. It will just depend on the job/online business you are trying to get in to doing.

Make It A Learning Experince-Results May Vary

Searching online for anything can have different effects for everyone. Try to keep yourself focused on what you want. Don’t let yourself get sidetracked by misleading information or when you come across what seems like the opportunity of a lifetime. When you come across something interesting while doing your search, but it doesn’t pertain to your task at hand, jot it down and go back to it later. The internet is a magical place and anyone can get lost in it. I definitely spent a lot of my time being lost while doing my searching.

When a search doesn’t go right, cross it off and move on. Maybe the search turned out to be something you weren’t really interested in once you thought about it or once you seen the job description. It’s the internet, not a person sitting in front of you doing your interview. Or maybe you were searching up building your own website, then you decided not to go with that affiliate due to the cost. You can let them know. They may say sorry to see you leave, but they mean thank you for letting us know so that we aren’t wasting your time or ours.

The more you search for work online the better you will become. There are such a variety of ways to make money from home online that it is possible for almost anyone to do it. It is just a matter of finding what suits you, your situation and finances. I am a member of a great affiliate. I didn’t get there overnight. It took me a very long time to find it and I was even scammed a few times. I learned what to do and what not to do while on my journey. Click here if you would like to check out ( for free ) where I now call my land of opportunity.

Thank you taking time to read my post. If you have any questions at all please to hesitate to ask. I will definitely get back to you.

  1. As a stay at home mom, I was looking for work from home online opportunities. I made a list of my skills, passions, interest, and decided what I was best at and what I was horrible at. Put together my skills that would be an asset to others, and rather than try to offer that to a business in hopes of employment, I realized I wanted to determine my own work schedule, my own pay, my own way, so I opened up a business, became a virtual assistant, and happily do that now. I believe everyone has skills they can utilize to make money from home. It doesn’t take someone super tech savvy either. Just know what you’re good at, what you can offer, and if entrepreneurship isn’t for you because running one’s own business is tough, you can always work as a virtual assistant as an employee for a company if that’s the route you choose. Opportunities are out there.

  2. I clearly remember the last time when I visited your site I was so impressed yet I failed to take advantage of the opportunity you had suggested.
If I Had taken advantage of it the first time, I might have already been making an income online working from home.
never the less, I am planning on taking the advantage now.
Thank you for giving me this opportunity.
