Work From Home Vs Work From An Office

Work from office

Work from home vs work from an office. How much difference could there really be? Most office jobs require a computer, an internet connection, and an email address right? Let’s compare the two a little further to see which would benefit us the most.

The Advantages-Working From An Office

Working in an office means you more than likely have a boss, or maybe you are the boss. There are probably other employees as well. Hopefully everyone gets along really well. You look forward to going to work because your co-workers make your work day more tolerable. Otherwise, that would mean there is tension in the air, and that would make the work day more like going to the dentist. Most of us hate going there, but for some employees they would rather go to the dentist instead of to work. This could be for many reasons. We will save that for the disadvantages.

Being an employee of a great employer is what everyone would love as an employee. To be able to LIKE your job and the people you work with/for, that is awesome. Having other people to communicate with daily and run ideas by. Getting suggestions on the upcoming projects’ presentation from co-workers would be beneficial. Being in an office and having others there as well would assist in learning new techniques as well. Depending on the type of office job you have, will determine exactly what the advantages might be. However, if you love your boss, your job and your co-workers then that alone is probably the biggest advantage.

Before my husbands employer transferred him to West Virginia, I had that type of office job. I worked for a Pulmonologist and a Gastroenterologist. They were by far the best physicians I had ever worked for. I loved our office manager as well as my co-workers. There were only four of us and it got hectic at times, but we helped each other through. Our patients were awesome, even though most of them were having trouble breathing or having severe stomach issues they were almost always a good patient. Seeing what some of them were going through would break your heart, but they would come in want to know how we were doing. Some would always make us different types of treats. That was an advantage for sure.

The Advantages Of Working From Home

Working from home would mean no morning commute or fueling up your car. Not having to go out in the rain or in the snow. Depending on whether you had to do video chat/conference you might not even have to get dressed. Lunchtime? That could be anytime. A big advantage would be that you are home with your children, if you have children that is. Our children are home due to the teachers being on strike. I work from home and have no sitter (you can read my about me for the full story) so working from home is definitely an advantage for me. Again, the advantages could be a variety of things depending on the type of job you are doing from home.

Working from home could mean fewer distractions and being more productive. You may be able to think clearly and focus more on the task at hand. Having a clear mind is beneficial no matter how we look at it, Some of us get overwhelmed when there are to many distractions when we are trying to focus or have a task that we are trying to complete. However, there are those that work well under pressure.Work From Home Advantage

The DisAdvantages-Working From An Office

Working in an office can be overwhelming. You have a deadline to meet but you have co-workers wanting or needing your help, your phone is ringing off the hook, your boss is off for the day and you haven’t even had your lunch. Is the work day over yet? You have faxes piling up that need your attention, phone calls to return and emails to reply to. To make everything worse, your child s school calls and you need to pick them up. What do you do now? These are just a few examples of the disadvantages. Same as before, the disadvantages of working from an office will depend on the type of office job you have .

The Disadvantages-Working From Home

You are preparing your project for presentation and your home phone rings, you have to pick up your sick child. It is summer and you are trying to work but your little ones want to go to the park. You cell phone keeps going off from your notifications. You just can’t think with all the distractions. It is raining now and the dog wants out. Your daughter is bored and is laying on your bed watching you work. Your other daughter is watching TV in the living room but you still can hear it. Maybe you are trying to write a blog and your cat is demanding attention. Sitting on your keyboard as you are trying to write, or playing with your bracelet that is dangling. That silly cat. You thought working from home meant getting more work done and fewer distractions. There are a number of distractions that can happen and we wouldn’t have thought of until we were in the moment of it happening. These were distractions that I encountered while writing this.

Which Is For You

Given the opportunity to work from your home or from the office, which would you choose? When you are given the opportunity you really need to think about all the advantages and disadvantages for both scenarios. You will be able to cover what I didn’t since you know your job type and what it entails. Write everything down. List the disadvantages and advantages and then go over them to see if you think of something you missed the first time. Be honest with you list. Don’t talk yourself into one or the other. You may regret it in the end. try to think of situations that MAY happen that aren’t every day, but still may arise. The purpose of this is to show you which would be better for you and your situation.

Which will you choose

Work From Home Opportunity

If you have determined that you want to work from home BUT your job will not give you that opportunity. I have an opportunity for you to consider. I have done a review on an online work from home job/business and would like for you to check it out. Don’t worry it is not a “Get Rich Scheme”. I would not do that to anyone. I have a desire to help people as I have had my share of run-ins with those type of programs. I have a desire to help others avoid that. Which is why I have a desire you to check it out.

My Conclusion

Working from an office may not be for everyone, just like some of us only want to work in a certain field like Patient Care, Newspaper Editor or Pet Groomer while these fields may not be suitable for others. The same goes for working from home. Some may not like the solitude, not having adult interaction or the yearly Christmas party. You feel like you are important when are a part of the office. Yet some benefit more from working from home.

Neither are perfect. They will both have advantages and disadvantages. It will all depend on what you want and need. Not all types of jobs offer a home based option. You may have to switch your type of profession if you are looking to work from home. There are tons of jobs online that can be done from your home. You just need to search for them properly.

I have done both and loved them both. With my current circumstances working from home is my best and only option. If you read my about me post you understand why. Life tends to force us to make decisions we normally wouldn’t make. For instance, I am able to work from home since my husband has a decent job that helps to pay the bills most of the time. We live from pay to pay and do struggle some. But since I am not able to work outside my home I was very fortunate to have found the opportunity I am about to share with you. Sometimes you may have to gradually step into working from home gradually, depending on your financial responsibilities.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and I REALLY hope it was of some use to you. Now here is what I promised . The online opportunity I stumbled upon is Wealthy Affiliate. I did my research before I joined. You can also check out the review on it. Like I said I have fallen for a few scams before and wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing it again. This affiliate is not like any other. You will not be told what you WANT to hear. You will not wake up rich the next day after joining. You can profit from it immensely, but it is up to you. Time and commitment will have to come from you. They provide you with everything needed to help get you the financial stability you need. Don’t believe me? I would never lie to anyone. But see for yourself. IT IS FREE!

No matter what you choose to do I wish you the best of luck in all you do.

If you have any questions or comments I would love to hear them. I will reply to all.

Thank you,

Lee Ann
