Work From Home With No Investment-Is This Legit?

Work from home jobs with no investment

Hello and thank you for stopping in. Have a seat and be prepared for a very informational post to help YOU find that work from home job you want and need.

Most of us who are looking for work to do from the comfort of our home, search for work from home with no investment type jobs. Keep in mind, you are probably going to need a computer, internet connection and probably a phone. Nowadays, who doesn’t have those already?

You probably come across data entry or call center jobs. I want to see if there are more interesting jobs that don’t require an investment or start up fee. Are you ready to start this adventure?

These are going to be legitimate work from home jobs. None of that make 10 cents for an hour of taking surveys, or watching a video and getting paid by a point system.

Let The Search Begin

I have started my search and of course the first site I come across is “Get Paid To Take Surveys”. How do they consider this a job or an opportunity?

You make NOTHING by taking these surveys. Especially considering the time you have to invest into taking the surveys and filling them out.

Interesting enough the next site was a PTC (paid to click) site. I didn’t even bother with them and I am not going to waste your time with them either.

Just a quick note to inform you that I have not and am not working for any of these jobs that I will be listing. Nor did I apply for any of them. I am not endorsing them. The information I am providing you was found by researching on google.

*Blog Writer (Contract) at Study.com is looking for dedicated freelance writers. Posted April 6, 2018.

Job #1

Do you enjoy writing and would like to help professionals, as well as students and teachers? Are you able to suggest/write ways to create a better study habit for students, or know of ways to help teachers manage their daily task more efficiently? This would be a keeper then. You will be able to share your creative writing to help with a variety of problems they face daily.

The criteria you need to meet: These are all per the website

  • Hold a bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Have professional writing experience.
  • Be Able to work quickly and incorporate feedback

What you will get in return for your contribution

  • Payment-You will get paid twice a month (doesn’t mention pay rate)
  • Work From Home- You get to have a flexible schedule, as well as the advantage of not having to get dressed FOR WORK and no having to hit snooze on the alarm clock. Work in the A. M or in the P. M, it is up to you.
  • Support-Access to an in house supportive team to answer your questions and to lend you a hand.

Again, these were all per the website. Study.com Go to the website if you are interested and wish to apply for this job. You will be taken to a page that says everything I have written here, but it says Blog Writer (Contract).

When you go to the website you will scroll down to the very bottom of the page. You will see Products, About Us and Support. You are going to look under about us and click Careers. You will also be able to check other positions.

I only looked for a work from home career in this search. As long as you are still interested in Blog Writer, you will click on contract opportunities written in light blue on that page. See the picture below

Study.com contract career

Nest you will be taken to a page listed with other job opportunities that are work from home. You will want to look through them as you may decide you want to apply for Article Updater or Math Expert instead of Blog Writer.

There will be several areas for you to choose from. I have pointed to Blog Writer, but you can click on whichever you are interested in applying for. Picture of the page you will be on is below.

Study.com contracts
You can click on the link you are interested in and see that some say:

  • Do you have a bachelor’s degree or higher? (not required, but a Bonus!)

When you have decided what you want to apply for, click on it and you will see what the requirements are as well as what will be expected from you. Who doesn’t love helping students out, or other professionals?

Click apply if you still choose to. Fill out the application and submit it. That is as far as I went as I am happy with my work from home job, therefore I didn’t fill out an application. As long as you did, I wish you luck.

The Biggest Prospect Of Them All

While doing my research I came across remote.co website. So I thought what the heck. I will see what they are. It seems they list REMOTE (work from home) jobs.

While searching through the site, I noticed some well-known company’s. So instead of listing another job, I decided to list them.

There are an ample amount of job listings on their site. I did search for reviews and as usual with any remote job site like this, you get good and bad reviews.

Here is where you can check them out for yourself. When you click on the link, you will be able to click on whatever category you are interested in. This will take you to jobs that have openings. Find the one you want and apply.

As long as you go to them in order to find your work from home (remote) job, please mark this page so that you can return to me and let me know how your experience was.

If I find they are a good source, I will leave them on my post, if not, I will remove them and fill the space with a better resource.

Not your run-of-the-mill sales call job, or survey taker. I don’t know about taxes or have a CPA, but it sounded interesting to me. Just because we look for jobs online to do from home, doesn’t mean we aren’t educated or that we don’t have a degree.

My Remote Business

My #1 Job: Is to find legitimate work from home opportunities for ANYONE not able to work outside their home for ANY reason.

Remember how I advised you that I do not nor will I work for the company’s I just did the research on? I had said that I am happy with my work from home job.

I actually have my own business that I started for FREE. Yes for free. I joined a marketing training platform that supplied my with EVERYTHING I needed to get my online business set up and running.

I had never done any type of training like this so of course I was a little skeptical and intimidated. I mean, I didn’t even know what a keyword was.

But this post that you have been reading, I created it as well as the website it is on. I had my hand held while training and completing each task .

I was provided all the tools and support to get it done. I still have the training and support. Video classes/training for every lesson. There are even live classes By a brilliant fellow by the name Jay (magistudios).

Just like remote jobs, there are members of this amazing platform from all over the world. I have never been a part of something so amazing.

Look at the chart below. I want you to see the simple steps that is taken for me to get where I am in less than 4 months. Yes, that’s as long as I have been doing this, and you wouldn’t believe what I have accomplished. Actually I recently did a post that you can check out if you would like.

Build your business in 4 easy steps

Final Thought

No matter what we do in life, or whether we work in our home or outside our home, in order to make money we have to work for it.

We may have a job or a business that we know how to do well, or we had to be trained. None of us came into this world knowing everything we know without being taught. Sure we may have picked up things quicker than others, or not as quick as others (me).

You may be living the easy life, but how did you get there? Did you work for it? Did you put your blood sweat and tears into getting where you are?

As long as you are struggling. Chances are you have at some point had a good job, or maybe not. What I am trying to say, nothing is handed to us.

Even for those of us wanting to be our OWN BOSS. We are who makes our business successful. It starts with you. You get out of it what you put into it.

There is a choice out there for all of us. Don’t be stuck in a dead end job. Keep working (unless you have tons of money), but keep looking for that opportunity you have dreamed of. Never give up on it.

I didn’t and I am loving my business. I get to do what I have always loved doing, helping others. I have pretty much enjoyed my work when I was in the work force, but it didn’t beat where I am today.

As long as you want to try your hand at being where I am, then

  3. Hey Lee Ann,

I have been struggling with finding opportunities which would take me away from my tired old, low paid, dead end job and then I arrived at your site.

I read through a few of your stories and this one, in particular became my friend and solution to life’s problems.

I know that I can’t give up my day job yet, but I now see a light at the end of the tunnel.

You have provided me with options I did not know existed, and now with a vastly superior attitude I am now actively looking for a better way to live my life.

Thank you for these resources, and I will keep on coming back to your site. I will be looking for more answers from you. Thank you.

    • Dear Steve,
I am sorry to hear about your current work status, I am glad you found some hope in my post.

I hope you are able to reach that light at the end of your tunnel. Being miserable with your job isn’t fun and it makes for a miserable day. We should somewhat enjoy our work.

I hope you get the opportunity to try whichever one it was that caught your eye, and I wish you much success with it.

Feel free to stop by anytime. I will keep writing to help and others find legit work from home.
      Take care

      Lee Ann

  4. Hey Lee Ann,
What a great post, I had no idea there was such variety available out there. As a blogger myself, I completely agree it is so important to have a trusted, support and knowledgeable community around you. Thanks for sharing!

    • Hello Fleur,
      Thank you for your time.
There are many opportunities out there. It is just a matter of finding the legitimate ones.
Which is my main goal so that I can help others like myself find them instead of the all the scams out there.
Nowadays it seems so easy to find online business opportunities or jobs online that are scams. So many of us fall victim to them. I wrote a post that might help with scams if you would be interested in reading it.
